When Finisterre make something, they do it properly. So when it comes to knives, they sought out the best knife makers in Britain: Joseph Rogers of Sheffield.
Now Sheffield is known for it's knife makers, and yet Joseph Rogers still shine as one of the most important companies. Its no surprise. They have been making cutlery since the mid 1700's. Hows THAT for heritage?
So lets talk knives. The CWS (Cold Water Surf) is specifically designed for the numb hands of surfers, or any outdoor types, and features an easy pull loop on the utility tool. Both blades are black oxide hardened and will keep their keen when most have lost their edge. If only we could all say that huh?
The main blade folds out to 55mm (2 1/4 inch) whilst the second tool comprises small blade, flathead screwdriver, and a combined bottle and tin opener.
Its worth paying attention to the handle as well as the business end. Just as much thought has gone into it's production and function: the material is Mikarta, a mix of cotton (57%) and melamine (43%) that fits in the hand perfectly.
The knife is presented in a re-useable aluminium tin, and comes along with a hex fin key (3/32).
A true heirloom item, this is a knife you will get years of use and pleasure from, then pass it on to offspring who have envied it's lethal allure from afar.
